Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater (1987) was an animated television show based on Sanrio's Hello Kitty. The show also starred other Sanrio characters like Tuxedo Sam, My Melody, and Hello Kitty's mother and father, grandma and grandpa. The show also introduced new characters such as a friend named Chip, and the villians Catnip, Grinder, and Fangora.

The show only produced 13 episodes with two shows in each episode. The shows were interpretations of classic stories and movies, such as Pinocchio, Robin Hood, Peter Pan, Phantom of the Opera. The characters played actors who played parts in a play for The Furry Tale Theater :)
